The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. Focus is placed on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care. Mentoring and precepting staff is an integral part of the role. Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and reassessments according to policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrate the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiate, prioritize, and implement the plan of care. Review and revise the plan as indicated. Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.
