Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit – Colorado
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Highlights:
- 30-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and thoracic surgical patients
- Patient ratios typically 1:4, occasionally 1:5
- Fast-paced, high-acuity environment at a designated cardiac center of excellence
- Advanced equipment including telemetry, transport monitors, chest tubes, BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, and IV pumps
- EMR system: Meditech
- Collaborative team of experienced RNs and PCTs working in a challenging specialty unit
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Progressive Care Unit or Step-Down hospital experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience with chest tube management, pacer wire removal, 12-lead EKGs preferred
- Proficiency with oxygen management up to BiPAP and heated high-flow
- Experience with cardiac drips including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone preferred
- Post-cardiac catheterization care experience highly valued
