Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 1 Year Preferred, 2 Years Preferred for IMC or Cardiology Experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Cardiology or Intermediate Care Experience Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a cardiac and intermediate care unit. The facility provides healthcare services in a dynamic environment. The hospital features state-of-the-art operating suites, a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, and inpatient behavioral health unit. The registered nurse will care for adult to geriatric patients. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 3 patients with active titrating drips during the day for IMC patients. Med/Surg patients during the day have a ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients. On the night shift, ratios are 1 RN to 4-5 IMC patients and 1 RN to 5-6 Med/Surg patients. The position includes floating to any unit of need, primarily to medical and surgical units. Equipment used includes standard cardiology monitoring and IV pumps. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. Candidates must possess effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with common diagnoses such as STEMI, Non-STEMI, stroke, and post-cath care. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse to enhance their clinical skills in a supportive healthcare setting.
