Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,290 per week in Bloomington, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intermediate Care - Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to read telemetries and comfort with chest tubes Description: Care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and other respiratory conditions. Utilize Bipap, Cpap, tracheostomies, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, and support for ablation/cath lab patients and dialysis patients.

Provide care for neuro, surgical, and cardiac patients. Utilize Bipap, Cpap, tracheostomies, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, and support for ablation/cath lab patients and dialysis patients. Use electronic medical records system and medication dispensing system. Work in a unit with 32 beds, all private rooms. Maintain nurse to patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse. Participate in holiday and weekend rotations. Floating to other units will be required, with assignments based on level of care needed. Expected to work three 12-hour shifts per week. Dress code consists of scrubs in any color. Orientation will include education and training specific to the unit.
