Must-Have: Acute care nursing, patient assessment, care plan development, clinical intervention monitoring, patient and family education
Description:
A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.
The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit.
The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a governance framework.
The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
The RN uses the caring processes of a recognized model of care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction.
The RN applies educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care and mentoring staff.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition.
Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions.
Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and revises the plan as indicated.
Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.
Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family.
Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions.
Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs and as appropriate to care, treatment, and services during their stay and at discharge.
Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
Functions as a mentor and preceptor.
Encourages and facilitates teamwork.
Identifies and appropriately communicates opportunities for improvement.
Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes.
Complies with regulatory standards.
Participates in the governance model.
Required Skills:
Two years of acute care RN experience.
Required education includes a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN).
