Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Surgical Step-Down – Michigan
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required. Holiday coverage includes Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday.
Highlights:
- High-acuity surgical step-down unit with fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1, allowing for focused, quality care
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- ICU background highly valued and translates well to this unit
- Comprehensive clinical experience with critical devices including chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, central lines, trachs, and wound vacs
- IV drip management experience required: Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardizem
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state licensure
- BLS certification required
- Surgical step-down or ICU experience preferred
- Proficiency managing complex medical devices including ostomies, NG tubes, chest tubes, arterial lines, and various drainage systems
- Experience administering critical IV infusions and titrating drips
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
