Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - PCU- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status
- Administer cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
- Provide care for patients on bipaps, high flow oxygen systems, and other delivery systems
- Conduct peritoneal dialysis and NG/dobhoff tube feedings
- Perform thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube insertions
- Ensure compliance with documentation and communication protocols
- Engage in hourly rounding and maintain patient communication boards
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - PCU- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation ability
- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
- Peritoneal dialysis care and peripheral IV skills preferred
- Proficiency with wound vacs and post-cardiac cath care
