Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of current Medical-Surgical/Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit experience required License: Kentucky or compact nursing license Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Must have 2 years of experience in specialty required for consideration. Float required within scope of practice. Every other weekend required. Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6. Description: Seeking a registered nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. The nurse must have current experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and Progressive Care. Candidates must possess a Kentucky or compact nursing license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH certifications are required. The nurse will be expected to provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting. Experience in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and telemetry is essential. Candidates should be skilled in cardiac telemetry and have the ability to manage a variety of conditions, including stroke and post-surgical care. The role requires readiness to work within a patient ratio framework and adapt to changing census and call-ins. All candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered. This position requires a commitment to the specified scheduling structure. Travelers must be willing to accept the scheduling requirements as outlined. Completion of required references is mandatory.
