Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Self-scheduling with weekend coverage and on-call requirements. Floating to other units may be required as needed. 36 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:
  • Join a brand-new 12-bed acute care unit designed for progressive care patients
  • Work with adult patients presenting with various medical diagnoses and pre/post-surgical cases with mixed acuity levels
  • Epic charting system in use facility-wide
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Experience with cardiac telemetry, drip management, wound care, and advanced monitoring preferred
  • One year of nursing experience required; PCU or stepdown experience strongly preferred
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • PCU or stepdown experience preferred
  • Proficiency in skills including cardiac telemetry, central line management, arterial line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, drip titration, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, and more
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process upon contract signing
