Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid nursing license in hand at time of application Certifications: BLS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Experience with EPIC charting is required. This unit primarily caters to patients with neurological conditions, such as strokes, seizures, and neuromuscular disorders. Patients may also include those recovering from neurosurgery and elective procedures. The unit has a total of 34 beds, accommodating both telemetry and progressive care patients. Nurses will work within an interdisciplinary team that includes various support services. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends and holidays as part of their contract. A demonstration of skills in dysrhythmia management and telemetry is necessary for this role. Locals are accepted without radius restrictions. Candidates should expect to float within their scope of practice if needed. References will be required as part of the application process. There is a natural nail policy in place for all staff. As part of the hiring process, candidates may be subject to background checks. Candidates should plan their start dates accordingly, taking into account the necessary compliance checks. All required modules will be assigned during orientation and must be completed within the designated timeframe.
