Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required. License: Must hold a valid nursing license. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Epic charting experience required. Description: The position involves working in an Acute Care Medicine PCU. Nurses will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4. Charge experience is preferred with a minimum of 2 years. Candidates should have experience with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, and the interpretation of arterial blood gases. Skills in high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, and telemetry monitoring are necessary. Additional skills include phlebotomy, wound care, and the management of IVs and PICC lines. Nurses will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams. Candidates must be flexible to float within their scope of practice if needed. A BSN is preferred.
