Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit.
The unit is a 34-bed facility that primarily cares for neurology and neurosurgery patients.
Patients may be admitted with diagnoses such as stroke, seizures, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders.
The team works closely with interdisciplinary support services, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Patient ratios may vary depending on the staffing and patient needs.
Candidates must be able to float within scope as needed.
A BSN is preferred but not mandatory.
The ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is essential for this role.
Weekend coverage and holiday shifts are required as part of the contract.
Candidates should have experience with telemonitoring and telemetry patient care.
This position may involve the care of stable ventilator patients.
Compliance with facility policies is mandatory.
Both travelers and permanent staff are required to complete background checks.
The average daily census is approximately 30.5 patients.
All candidates must successfully complete assigned modules during orientation.
All necessary documentation must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment.
