Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience required License: Current state or compact nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ACLS preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Experience in multiple patient diagnoses such as sepsis, wound care, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID is required. The clinician may float to various departments as needed. This position is part of a float pool and does not have a designated home unit. Weekend shifts of a minimum of 8 are required every six weeks, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Charge RN assignments may be required as needed. Key skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care. Additional skills preferred include sheath removal, IV therapy, and feeding tube care and management. Floating between units and facilities may take place to meet patient care needs. The role does not require on-call duty but requires flexibility to meet staffing needs. Compliance with all required certifications and training is expected upon employment.
