Experience with Patient Diagnoses including DKA, Acute Respiratory needs, ETOH Withdrawal, Sepsis, and heavy nursing procedures. Description: This position involves caring for a patient population with various complex needs. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:3 on all shifts. Floating to other units may be required. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. The unit houses 12 beds. Additional competencies include blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube care, and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses must be proficient in managing patient care using telemetry and also have experience in non-invasive airway management. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential to patient care. Special equipment utilized in this unit includes CADDS and PCA pumps. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required to ensure high-quality patient care.
