# Job Opportunity – Critical Care Step-Down Registered Nurse – New Hampshire**Start Date:** September 14, 2026 **Location:** Portsmouth, New Hampshire **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week), including 4 weekend shifts per month; 12-hour shiftsHighlights:
- 15-bed Cardiovascular Step-Down Unit specializing in cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients
- 4:1 patient ratio with 1-2 LNA support staff per shift
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center designation
- State-of-the-art equipment including GE Monitors, Hamilton BiPAP and Hi-Flow, Baxter IV Pumps, and Hemospheres
- Meditech Expanse documentation system with central monitoring station support
- Mobility team support to enhance patient outcomes and staff safety
Requirements:
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong telemetry monitoring skills
- Experience titrating vasoactive medications (levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, dobutamine)
- Chest tube management experience
- Preferred skills: Arterial line management, Flo-Trac monitoring, and temporary pacing experience
