Description:
This position involves providing care to adult patients and geriatrics in an intermediate care setting.
The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 4:1.
Daily responsibilities include overseeing critical patient conditions, administering medications, and utilizing advanced medical equipment.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing ventilated patients, interpreting arterial blood gases, and administering IV medications.
Experience with telemetry, managing dysrhythmias, and performing phlebotomy is essential.
The work environment includes a commitment to infection control and maintaining patient privacy.
Floating to different areas may be required as necessary to meet care demands.
