Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Some weekend shifts required (3 per contract). Float coverage required within the organization.

- Epic charting system utilized; telemetry monitoring experience required
- 72-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
- First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 13-week assignment with opportunity to work in a major academic medical environment
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, IMC, or DOU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience required
- Skills in dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip management (titration experience preferred)
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
- Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately upon contract signing
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
