Description

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week with every other/third weekend required. Float coverage to other units as needed.

  • Specialized case mix including burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial procedures
  • Unique procedural experience with burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive care unit experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, central line management, arterial lines, blood product administration, and IV medication titration
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record charting systems
  • Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or supervisor)
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract acceptance
