Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care/Medical-Surgical – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours weekly. Every other weekend required. Float assignments may be required to units of equivalent or lower acuity level.
Highlights:
- 24-bed unit with 9 Progressive Care beds and 15 Medical-Surgical beds
- Cardiac stepdown focus with telemetry monitoring
- Patient ratio: 1:3-5 (estimated 1:4 on nights and weekends)
- Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
- 24 hours of orientation provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- Cardiac care experience and IV insulin drip management strongly preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
