Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, float pool assignment with rotating weekends as needed
Highlights:
- Float pool position serving progressive care units with step-down/PCU-level patients across affiliated hospital locations
- 3:1 patient ratio maintained consistently across all shifts
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the organization
- 36 hours of orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- May float to nearby affiliated locations within walking distance (approximately 5-6 minute walk)
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of application)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Proficiency in IV starts and cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills in arterial line management, central line care, cardiac drips, vasoactive medication management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing
