Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 4:1 patient ratio. Some weekend shifts required (3 per contract). Float capability required within the organization. 72 hours of orientation provided.

Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Charge experience preferred
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
Essential Skills:
- Blood product administration and central line care/management
- BiPAP/CPAP management and high flow nasal cannula
- Cardiac drip management and titration
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases
- IV insulin and heparin protocol management
- Chest tube, feeding tube, and tracheostomy care
- PCA, wound care, and surgical drain management
- Management of ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients
