Job Title: Travel RN PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills Critical drip experience 2 years of PCU experience Description: Travel RN position in the Progressive Care Unit. Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Candidates must have an active compact license upon submission. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. The unit has a total of 20 beds. Staff includes 5 RNs and 2 LNAs, with flexibility based on volume. Patient-to-RN ratios are 4:1. Equipment includes GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps. Electronic medical record system used is Expanse. Candidates should have strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience. Preferred candidates will have pre-post cardiac catheterization and pacer patient care experience. Candidates with prior HCA experience will be given priority. This role requires a self-directed, confident, and positive individual, even in difficult circumstances. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as a team player are essential. Floating areas may include Med Surg ICU and Emergency Department as needed. Dress code is professional scrubs with no required color. Weekends will be required every other weekend or as needed based on staffing requirements.
