Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred; First-timers accepted Description: Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 1:5. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Previous charge and teaching hospital experience is preferred. The RN will be responsible for basic patient care and monitoring. Skills required include telemetry and cardiac monitoring. Experience with post-cardiac procedures and dysrhythmia management is essential. Responsibilities include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and managing central lines. Must be prepared to administer medications including cardiac drips and PCA. Experience in surgical care and wound management is highly desirable. Candidates will be required to float between departments as needed. Ability to work weekends with at least 8 shifts required in a 6-week schedule period. Flexibility for holiday shifts and charge RN assignments will be needed. All candidates must complete required certifications before starting. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for this role.
