Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience. Progressive care/Stepdown/PCU experience preferred. License: Ohio nursing license required. Certifications: BLS required. ACLS required. Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted. Floating within the organization required. Call responsibilities may be necessary. Description: The stepdown/PCU mixed-acuity unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions. Travelers should be comfortable working in a progressive care environment. Support services available 24/7. Documentation system used is Epic. Medication systems include Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell. Communication follows SBAR format. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 4:1. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. Patients typically present with general chronic medical conditions. Candidates must comply with credentialing requirements. Valid compact or state nursing license must be held at the time of application. Education must be from an accredited program.
