Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent progressive care experience License: Ohio nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience working with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management - Ability to float within the organization as needed Description: The unit provides care for patients with various medical diagnoses as well as pre- and post-surgical patients. Patients have mixed acuity, including those requiring PCU-level care. This is a 32-bed unit with an average daily census of 25 to 32 patients. Registered nurses will be responsible for patient assessments, developing care plans, and administering medications. Candidates should have experience in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line and PICC care, and rapid response/code teams. Teaching hospital experience is welcomed, and candidates may be required to float to different units as needed. Scrub colors and details will be provided during orientation. Two professional references are required, with at least one from a managerial or supervisory position. Candidates must have experience in managing cardiac drips, administering oxygen, and wound care. The ability to manage dysrhythmias and use rapid response/code teams is essential. Only candidates who have completed the necessary fingerprinting process will be considered. Travelers who are unresponsive during the credentialing process are at risk of cancellation. Candidates must ensure they can fulfill credentialing requirements in a timely manner.
