Candidates must have experience with cardiology patients. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, pre/post cardiac catheterization, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and cerebrovascular accidents. Knowledge and experience in cardiac telemetry are essential. Candidates will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4, potentially increasing to 1:5 with lower acuity. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is mandatory. Certified individuals should possess skills in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and bi-level positive airway pressure/capped management. Candidates must be proficient in administering blood products, central line care, and telemetry. Understanding and management of dysrhythmias and various respiratory conditions is required. The role includes the management of vasoactive drips without titration and cardiac drips as necessary. Willingness to float within the specialty and to lower acuity units is crucial. Weekend and holiday work will be assigned as scheduled. Candidates should be comfortable with phlebotomy and wound care. Experience with rapid response and code teams is beneficial. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
