Description:
This position performs direct patient care activities for all age groups.
It includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
The role entails monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care providers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with professional standards and values.
Must have the ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty.
Meets unit-specific physical demands with significant bending and stooping.
Requires lifting and turning patients with assistance when necessary.
May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days according to patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is expected.
Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
Minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required.
A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to be a team player are essential.
Dressing code includes wearing scrubs that meet established standards.
Proper attire must align with healthcare standards without unacceptable elements.
Weekend hours may be required as needed by the facility.
