Must-Have:
- Airway management
- Management of IV drips
- Experience with patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- ICU and step down experience
Description:
This position requires a registered nurse for the step-down ICU.
Nurses will be expected to float to the step-down unit as needed.
The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week.
Nurses are required to work every other weekend.
Candidates may be first-time travelers.
On-call duty is not required for this position.
A patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1 is expected.
Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
The unit caters to adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses.
Experience in a trauma setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates must possess skills in arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
They will also manage patients on continuous IV sedation and observe isolation precautions.
This role does not accommodate block scheduling requests.
Local candidates are not accepted.
Pending license applications are acceptable, provided the license is active before the start date.
Any time off requests greater than seven days will require prior approval.
