Epic charting experience is required.
Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management is necessary.
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care is required.
Experience with respiratory support, such as nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management is necessary.
Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit.
The successful candidate will work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
Charting will be done using the Epic system.
Working every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block may be required.
All requests for time off must be included with the application.
The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.
Candidates are required to work at least one holiday during the 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are accepted, and local candidates are considered based on certain criteria.
A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable floating within their skill set.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.
The unit serves adults and geriatrics with a census of approximately 27.
The unit primarily focuses on pulmonary and gastrointestinal care.
There are no ventilators on this unit.
It is expected that the candidate can work without CNA support.
All candidates need to demonstrate competency in essential clinical skills relevant to the position.
