Description:
This nursing position involves working in a high acuity, fast-paced surgical step down unit.
The nurse-patient ratio is typically 4:1, with some instances of 3:1.
Candidates must be comfortable managing chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, and other central lines.
Experience with ostomies, tracheostomies, nasogastric tubes, wound vacs, and various drains is required.
Nurses will be responsible for administering drips and IV infusions, including heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and cardizem.
Availability to work weekends and during major holidays is necessary.
This role is ideal for individuals with an ICU background.
