License: Valid Kentucky or compact license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH. Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted. - Float required within scope of practice; availability for every other weekend. - Schedules are fixed; no blocked scheduling can be accommodated. Description: This position is for a 34-bed Stepdown/PCU unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of current experience. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to provide care for a wide variety of patient diagnoses and procedures. Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, telemetry, and providing post-operative care among other duties. Compliance with flu vaccine requirements is mandatory. Medical and religious exemptions for vaccinations may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Weekly schedules will follow a pattern of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. Travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice as required. The position involves working every other weekend and potentially holidays.
