Job Opportunity – ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) – Western North Carolina

Start Date: August 20, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 2:1 ICU ratios, 4-5:1 PCU ratios; Charge RN out of staffing; Floating required based on unit needs

Highlights:
  • 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with critical care and progressive care patient populations
  • Advanced critical care environment utilizing Cerner documentation system
  • Hands-on experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM)
  • Opportunity to assist providers with bedside procedures including intubations, chest tube insertions, and central line management
  • Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support and structured shift reporting
  • Professional development in critical care pharmacology including vasopressors, sedation protocols, and paralytics
Requirements:
  • Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Medical ICU experience in a large facility setting required
  • Demonstrated competency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
  • Strong critical thinking skills with flexibility and teamwork orientation
  • Advanced critical care skills preferred: IV sedation management, vasopressor administration, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and central line care
