TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – North Carolina

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required. Patient ratio 4:1 at standard grid, up to 5:1 when stretched. Dayshift staffing includes CNCs, RNs, CNAs, and HUC support. Floating to other stepdown and medical-surgical units as needed.

  • 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma patient populations
  • Comprehensive equipment and technology including IV pumps, PCAs, chest tubes, trachs, patient lifts, and Skylift
  • EMR system: Cerner
  • Collaborative team of 95+ staff members with strong CNC and charge nurse support
  • Hands-on experience with specialized procedures including neuro/spinal assessments, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
  • Navy blue scrub dress code

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)
  • ACLS certification (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • NIHSS certification (required)
  • Neuro and trauma care experience (required)
  • Willingness to float to stepdown and medical-surgical units
