Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Cardiac Unit) – Tennessee

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48-hour guarantee; every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule); 5-6:1 patient ratio

Highlights:

  • 30-bed cardiac unit with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac care
  • EMR system: Meditech (HCA version); Philips Telemetry; Pyxis medication dispensing
  • Procedures include chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKG administration
  • Strong support staff including unit clerks, PCTs, nursing supervisors, and hospitalists
  • Advanced cardiac drip experience required: Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
  • Floating to general medical-surgical, orthopedics, progressive care, or surgical/oncology units as needed

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Tennessee (or eligibility for compact licensure)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Cardiac nursing knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with vasoactive drips and telemetry monitoring
  • No artificial nails or gel polish
