Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of previous Cardiac Telemetry RN experience required License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred; ability to manage care for patients with acute cardiac, vascular, and thoracic needs. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a PCU position. The work schedule is 3 nights per week. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. This role involves caring for adult patients with acute cardiac, vascular, and thoracic needs. Typical procedures include managing post-operative care for open heart surgeries, stents, devices, and ablations. Nurses will administer antiarrhythmic medications and manage care for heart failure patients. The position includes care for patients undergoing post-vascular and thoracic surgeries. Candidates must be familiar with managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias. Experience with telemetry monitoring is required. Candidates should be comfortable starting and maintaining intravenous lines. This position is available to first-time travelers. Local candidates will not be accepted; candidates must reside 75 or more miles from the facility. The ideal applicant will be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.
