The unit comprises 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staffing includes the availability of unit secretaries and techs. Key equipment includes Welch Allyn vital sign machines, Hoyer lifts, Sarah Steady lifts, telemetry, bladder scanners, and Dopplers. Documentation is conducted through an electronic system. Scheduling requires 3 shifts per week, including 3-4 weekend shifts. Floating policies apply, where contract staff may be floated to areas based on demonstrated competency. Experience with telemetry and stroke assessment is required. Advanced skills in managing cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia are needed. No specific procedures are performed on this unit.
