TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64132!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH, ABLS preferred Must-Have: Experience in ICU or PCU level of care Burn experience preferred Cardiac rhythm proficiency Description: Burn experience preferred, but not required. The unit has a total of 6 beds with varying patient ratios based on acuity. Adult patients only. Staff includes Charge Nurse, RNs, Nurse Externs, and Paramedics. Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, Hill-Rom beds, call light system, and GE cardiac monitoring. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period. No on-call requirements. Floating policy includes floating to similar units such as ICU, PCU, and CCU. Patient experience responsibilities include upholding the organization's mission and values. Courtesy and respect towards every patient is a top priority. Adherence to bedside shift report requirements is necessary. The unit operates as a mixed acuity level department encompassing ICU, PCU, TELE, and M/S levels of care. Patients remain in the unit from admission to discharge regardless of the level of care required. A strong multidisciplinary team is present, consisting of a burn surgeon, Nurse Practitioner, intensivist, rehab, dietary, pharmacy, and case management. There is a dedicated burn surgeon and APP. The unit fosters a teamwork-oriented atmosphere with a family-like feel. Core staff have significant experience. The unit is travel nurse friendly and has dedicated unit-based paramedics. Communication with providers and staff is facilitated through the use of mobile phones. Critical care intensivists are available 24/7. AirStrip technology is utilized for cardiac rhythm monitoring. A discharge lounge is available for patient convenience.
