Description:
Extending request for a Registered Nurse in Intermediate Care.
Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training.
Up to 20 week-long assignments are available to ensure adequate staffing to provide patient care during the holiday season.
Traveler must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year's Day).
Weekend-only requests may be considered, but block scheduling can no longer be accommodated.
Patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac intermediate care, neuro patients, and CVA patients.
The unit tries to follow a schedule of 2 out of 3 weekends a month, but this is subject to unit needs.
IVS will be offered with limited requests for time off.
Client can cancel up to 36 hours per assignment due to census.
Charge experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
This is a teaching environment where RNs will encounter students and new hires frequently.
All team members, including travelers, are expected to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires.
