Description:
Responsible for providing care to patients in a Step Down unit.
Experience with neuro patients is preferred.
Team nursing ratios include 1 RN for every 12 patients, supported by LPNs.
Charge experience is preferred.
Orientation provided prior to the start of the assignment.
Floating between like units may occur as needed.
Must be willing to work weekends as required by the unit.
Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
Candidates must comply with all relevant licensure guidelines.
All requested time off must be included prior to submission.
Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
Duties include monitoring patients post-surgery and managing complex medical needs.
Relevant patient diagnoses include strokes, seizures, and post-operative care.
Nurses in this role will manage monitoring equipment and support interdisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Candidates with trauma, telemetry, and neuro step-down experience will be prioritized.
