Job Opportunity - Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN - Western North Carolina

Schedule: Rotating days/nights, 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, no call required
Highlights:
- 40-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit specializing in CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
- Diverse patient population including open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, vascular surgeries, and medical cardiology overflow
- Advanced skill utilization including chest tube and epidural management, cardiac drip titration, and critical monitoring
- Cerner EMR system with modern equipment including Baxter IV pumps and CADD epidural pumps
- Collaborative environment with dedicated charge nurse, RN team, PCTs, and unit support staff
- Floating to stepdown and medical-surgical units based on facility needs
Requirements:
- Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Stepdown and telemetry experience mandatory
- Previous CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience preferred (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass within past year)
- CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in cardiac drip management including vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medications
