Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: July 23, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time position, day or night shift available. Patient ratio 4:1 at standard grid, 5:1 when stretched. Every other weekend required.

Highlights:
  • Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system in a well-equipped environment with modern technology including IV pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and patient lifts
  • Collaborative team of 95 staff members including dedicated CNCs, RNs, CNAs, and HUC support
  • Opportunities to perform critical procedures including neuro and spinal assessments, C-collar placement, chest tube management, blood transfusions, and feeding tube placement
  • Floating opportunities to stepdown and medical-surgical units for diverse clinical experience
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in neuro and trauma care settings
  • Proficiency with IV infusions, PCA pumps, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and lumbar drains
  • Team-oriented personality with strong patient-focused care approach
