Description:
This is a nursing position in a progressive care unit.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.
Candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience are preferred.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Holiday shifts and charge nurse assignments may be required based on unit needs.
Weekend requirements include a minimum of 8 shifts over a 6-week schedule period, with a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.
This is a float pool position, and the nurse will not be assigned to a home unit.
The nurse will float between approximately 5 departments, including medical/surgical intermediate and progressive care units as needed.
Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, and blood product administration.
Preferred skills include sheath removal and feeding tube management.
No on-call requirement is associated with this position.
Locals are not accepted; candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility.
Travelers should possess both a valid nursing license and a compact license.
Candidates need to provide documentation for compliance before starting.
All requirements must be finalized at the time of submission.
Training on specific equipment and protocols will be necessary for all new hires.
