Description: Registered Nurse will work 36 hours per week on night shift (7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.). Nurse will typically work every third weekend and cover one holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing needs. There is no on-call required, but the nurse may be asked to take a rare call day in times of fluctuating census or staffing. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in cardiac step-down, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-operative open-heart care, and care for other cardiac and med-surg step-down patients. Nurse will be required to float to other units during low volumes or coverage crises, although this is not an expectation. While ventilator patients are not typically admitted to this unit, the nurse may be required to care for a ventilated patient in rare circumstances based on patient needs and staffing requirements. Candidates should be comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if needed. Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per contract.
