Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway. Provides education for patients and families/significant others throughout the admission and discharge process. Documents the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly. Notifies the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status. Administers medications and performs treatments accurately and safely. Implements physician orders as written. Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and reports malfunctions to the proper department.
