Epic charting experience is a must.
Flexibility to float to similar units as needed.
Availability to work every other weekend.
Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in a surgical telemetry environment.
The role involves monitoring and caring for patients with conditions such as myocardial infarction and arrhythmias.
Experience with pre and post-operative care for open-heart and vascular surgery patients is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in blood product administration, EPIC card management, and telemetry interpretation.
Strong skills in managing chest tubes, cardiac drips, and non-invasive airway management are preferred.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is generally 1:4, with potential increases during midnight shifts.
This role includes responsibilities for providing respiratory treatments and monitoring critical cardiac conditions.
Interdisciplinary collaboration with teams, such as IV therapy and physical therapy, is expected.
The nurse will also handle specialized equipment and participate in the care of patients with advanced cardiac support devices.
Candidates should have experience providing care to adults and geriatric patients in a telemetry setting.
