Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CPI preferred Must-Have: Candidates must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Description: This is a position for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The nurse will provide care for patients with complex medical needs. Strong experience in Telemetry and Progressive Care is required. Candidates must have previous travel experience. Every other third weekend shift is required. Patient ratios are typically 1:6 for MedSurg and 1:3-4 for IMC. The nurse may float to medical-surgical and telemetry areas as needed. All employees must have the Flu vaccine. Candidates will be expected to participate in interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Two supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, are required. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Requested time off must be included at the time of submittal and cannot be changed after submission. Sanitizing procedures and proper PPE protocols must be followed. Candidates must have an understanding of cardiac telemetry and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with high flow nasal cannula is preferred. This position requires strong skills in wound care and management of related equipment. The candidate must be comfortable proceeding without an interview. All clinical submissions will undergo a thorough review. Complete compliance with facility-specific requirements is expected.
