License: Must possess a valid nursing license in the relevant state
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have:
1 prior travel assignment
Experience in Cerner charting system
Ability to manage telemetry and cardiac telemetry
Description:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an IMC or Telemetry setting.
Candidates must have experience with Congestive Heart Failure management.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3-4.
The role requires competency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
Experience with telemetry monitoring on the unit is essential.
Candidates must be skilled in post-myocardial infarction care and pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures.
Managing feeding tubes and hemodialysis is a key responsibility.
Candidates must be familiar with renal failure management and accessing ports for treatment purposes.
Blood product administration and central line care are required skills.
Phlebotomy and management of peripheral lines are necessary.
Experience with PICC line management, heparin protocols, and CVA management is preferred.
Knowledge of chest tube management is required.
Candidates must be proficient in non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care.
Isolation precautions and wound care experience are essential.
The nurse may be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Weekend shifts are expected every third week.
Scrubs are not provided and navy blue scrubs are required.
Completion of required training modules will be part of onboarding.
