Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Colorado

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 5:1 patient ratio, 24-bed Progressive Care Unit

Highlights:
  • Brand new, state-of-the-art Progressive Care Unit with ADA/Bariatric rooms and advanced equipment including in-room Hoyer lifts
  • Diverse patient population including post-operative ortho and spine patients, elective gynecological surgeries, post-cath lab procedures (PCI, pacemaker, ablation), stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal and respiratory failure
  • Telemetry monitoring and post-operative recovery focus with cardiac drip management (non-titrating except heparin)
  • EMR: Meditech/CPN system
  • Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted three weeks in advance for maximum flexibility
  • Excellent unit culture emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and support from experienced nursing staff
Requirements:
  • Active Colorado RN license or compact state license
  • Minimum 1 year of current hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
  • Cardiac experience preferred
  • Prior Meditech experience preferred
