Must have teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. Must adhere to the call-off policy. Neuro experience is required. Unit does not accept first-time travelers. Locals are accepted with a rate difference. Required skills in Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, and Telemetry. Experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including blood product administration and central line care. Experience in medications like heparin protocols and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Knowledge of neurological and psychiatric care, including aneurysms, CVA, and seizure disorders. Skills in respiratory management, including BiPAP and care of ventilated patients. Professional competence in isolation precautions and wound care. EPIC experience is required. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to cancellations. This patient population will focus on neurological patients along with medical intermediate patients. Staffing ratios will be approximately 1:4 with a maximum of 24 patients on the unit. Travelers will be required to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Candidates must be willing to float to other intermediate areas or critical care as needed. A teamwork approach is essential in all interactions. All RTO must be pre-approved, and you cannot request additional RTO after signing. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description. Due to staffing needs, contracts can be accepted from 16 weeks up to a specified date. A chance to work in a supportive environment with interdisciplinary teams.
