Epic experience is required.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation.
Unit will not accept first-time travelers.
Locals are accepted with a rate difference.
Work setting skills required include neuro stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, and telemetry.
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and use of rapid response/code teams.
Skills in cardiovascular care required include TR band management.
Endocrine/metabolic skills required include IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips.
Gastrointestinal skills required include feeding tube care and management.
Genitourinary/renal skills required include continuous bladder irrigation and pre/post hemodialysis management.
IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required include blood product administration, central line care, peripheral line care, and PICC line management.
Medication skills required include heparin protocols, PCA, thrombolytics, titration of cardiac drips, and titration of vasoactive drips.
Neurological/psychiatric skills required include care for aneurysms, craniotomy, cerebrovascular accidents, intracranial bleeds, lumbar drains, post-TPA care, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal, and traumatic brain injury.
Plastics skills required include surgical drain management.
Respiratory skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, chest tube care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
Professional topics and isolation precautions/PPE and wound care skills are required.
Additional skills required include titration of LEVO.
Interview availability should be provided upon submission.
Candidates must complete EKG testing prior to starting.
The patient population will be geared toward neurological patients along with medical intermediate patients.
The unit will max at 24 patients and features an interdisciplinary support team.
Travelers are required to work a minimum of three weekend shifts every six weeks.
Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description.
